Call of Duty Black Ops was released a few weeks ago and we took an initial look at performance in our GTX 580 articles. Now with a little more game time under our belts and a demanding section of gameplay located we have more complete performance figures for this best-selling title.
Testing was performed at 5760x1080 with no anti-aliasing and maximum in-game settings.
On the last page we saw the Radeon compete with a GeForce in a test where the Nvidia card had the edge due to its advanced PhysX features. The reverse is the case on this page as the Black Edition is able to drive 3 screens at once when gaming whereas GeForce cards are limited to two outputs.
This means we can run games like Call of Duty: Black Ops at resolutions including 5760x1080 for a hugely immersive experience. On the performance front the card has no problems running at this ultra-high resolution and here are a couple of examples of how it looks at these settings.
