MSI GX660R Gaming Laptop Review

Boot Time and Screen/Sound Quality

To finish up our first look at the MSI GX660R we have taken a few videos which go some way to illustrating the user experience on the system.

Firstly we have the boot time of the system; this is a video of the time taken from power on to the desktop with our fully configured build.

Next we have an example of the viewing angles of the system. With the screen positioned appropriately for single person use the screen looks bright and vibrant with plenty of detail evident. Move away from this angle and the detail begins to drop significantly, something which is noticeable in our videos where the camera doesn't quite have the best angle.

Finally we have a couple of examples of the audio quality. The system sounds better in the flesh but these give a rough idea of the quality offered. Taken at 3ft from the system with 75% volume on the GX660R we have an example of music and movie playback.

NOTE:
The blip in audio on the music test occurred a couple of times with the bundled WinDVD software, when we moved to our preferred application (PowerDVD) after a reinstallation of the OS no stuttering was evident.
