One of the most eagerly anticipated titles of 2011, Crysis 2 promises a great single player campaign, first class visuals and an in depth multi-player mode. Our testing is based on the final version of the game rather than the multi-player demo.
Testing was performed at 5760x1080 with no anti-aliasing and maximum in game settings (Extreme).
We saw in our single card review that the GTX 590 scales in performance over the GTX 580 and it is great to see that NVIDIA also have quad GPU compatibility in Crysis 2. When we add a second card the framerates almost double. AMD have real issues on this test though as the single card doesn't perform well and adding a second results in instability.
Here are some examples of how the game looks at our tested settings.
