Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 and Radeon HD 6570 Graphics Card Reviews

The Sapphire Radeon 6570 Graphics Card

Sapphires 6570 uses similar packaging to the 6670 though uses a different colour scheme. Inside we find a similar bundle to the more expensive card, the only item not included is a DVI to VGA dongle as it is not required on this model. Added to the bundle is a fact sheet on HyperMemory.

In terms of design the Sapphire 6570 is very close to the 6670, something which is great to see because it gives the card a real feel of quality when compared to reference design 6500 models. Attached to the front is the same Arctic Cooling dual slot heatsink and fan and once again there are no Crossfire or power connectors on this card. Its 44w draw is again provided by the PCIe connector.

For outputs we have VGA, HDMI 1.4 with Dual-Link DVI and the 6570 supports Eyefinity (3screen) as well as Stereoscopic 3D.

For the detailed specifications on the 40nm "Turks" GPU we have a card with 480 stream processors, 24 texture units, 8 ROPS and the GPU via a 128-bit bus has access to 512MB of GDDR5 memory. That said, this model also supports HyperMemory which allows it to share up to 2.3GB of system memory when installed in a desktop running Vista or Windows 7.

The card fully supports PCIe 2.1, DirectX 11 and DirectCompute along with acceleration of high definition content. AMD's usual video enhancements such as noise reduction and colour vibrancy are available and we can also output audio over HDMI (via a dongle) if required.

Sapphire clock this GPU at 650MHz with memory running at 1000MHz (4.0GHz) which combined with the specifications above gives us a 3DMark 11 score of P1500.
