Conclusion
It is clear from the results in this review that each of the manufacturers who submitted products to test has a set of modules which will provide great performance for anyone looking to set-up a Z68 based system, or P67 also. All are easy to set-up thanks to the use of XMP which applies the rated speed and timings with just a few button presses, or mouse clicks and each set of modules was completely stable at their rated settings.
In terms of who each set of modules will appeal to... for Corsair case modders will find a great set of sticks which can be matched with black/blue builds while maintaining good performance on a low voltage. Crucial have a set of sticks which have high performance, especially in gaming, and at the same time run very cool. G.Skill offer us an intelligent heatsink design on reasonably compact modules which have tighter timings than most 1600MHz memory. Kingston give us compact modules with a unique heatsink design which offer the highest speed in this review which will appeal to enthusiasts and Patriot do the same, with a completely different approach to cooling which looks fantastic while also offering low temperatures. |
