Samsung 470 Series 256GB SSD Review
A couple of generations ago there were a number of major players in the SSD marketplace, Indilinx was one, Intel another and then we had Samsung. Their P series of SSD's compared reasonably well with models from Intel and Indilinx, outperforming those models in tasks such as large file transfers. Since then we have seen Intel release newer generation drives, Indilinx fade away and SandForce take the performance lead with their latest controller. Samsung haven't gone the way of Indilinx though and have quietly gone about refreshing their drives and supplying large manufacturers such as Dell/Alienware with SSD's for their pre-built systems.
