Hannspree HANNSpad 10.1" Android Tablet (SN10T1) Review
After looking at our first
Tegra 2 based Android device a few months back we recently reviewed a tablet using the same architecture in the form of
ASUS Transformer. This ultra-flexible device which has its own keyboard dock impressed us greatly with a high level of build quality, good screen and exceptional battery life as well as top performance from the dual core CPU.
As with many high specification tablets the Transformer has a price tag to match and with the dock retails for around £400, £320 or so without. That is out of the reach of many consumers but as with any technology it isn't long before various brands begin releasing more value orientated models. One of these is the HANNSpad (SN10T1) from Hannspree (a subsidiary of Taiwan based HannStar Display Corporation). The HANNSpad has many of the same features and specifications as the Transformer but at a bargain £150 price. Let's find out if it is a worthwhile purchase and whether it is a tablet which is open to user customisation (Honeycomb on a £150 device anyone???).
