3DMark 11

To test the performance of discrete GPUs on the two platforms we are using 3DMark 11 set to Extreme mode. Our GPU of choice is the Sapphire 6950 Toxic set to the performance BIOS.

In this scenario we see for the first time AMD taking the lead over our 2600K sample, squeezing that little bit of extra performance out of the GPU. Let's see if that translates in to real world gaming performance...
