AC Ryan Veolo Smart Android Hub Review

AC Ryan Veolo Smart Android Hub Review

We have reviewed a fair amount of AC Ryan's hardware here at Hardware Heaven with their Playon! devices winning numerous awards. The simple, functional design mixed with a decent operating system (based on Realtek technology) offered quick and easy access to media, social networking and even in some models TV recording. Now they are back with the release of the Veolo Smart Android Hub which is marketed by AC Ryan as being "the future of digital home entertainment today".

As a first for AC Ryan the Veolo uses Android 2.2 (Froyo) as the OS, bringing an enhanced experience for apps on a TV, including casual games and social media and we have one on our test bench today to find out if the Veolo lives up to the high standards of previous AC Ryan models.

Packaging and Bundle

AC Ryan package the Veolo in a box with a clear image of the product on the front along with the key features listed on other sides. Elsewhere on the box we find product specifications and information on the 3-in-1 remote control.

Inside we find the Veolo suspended in a velveteen cradle and beneath this is the location of the bundled components.

Once we delve through the cardboard trapdoor we are presented with a HDMI 1.3 cable, Veolo 3-in-1 Remote Control, 2x AAA Batteries, DC-In 5V Power Adapter and a Quick Start Guide.
