Gelid DarkForce Case Review

A few years ago Arctic Cooling were very well known for their thermal paste. Products like the MX-2 were industry leading but almost out of nowhere Gelid released their competing paste and it started a battle for the best product and lowest temperatures. Skip forward to the present day and Arctic have now moved away from cooling being their core business and Gelid have evolved as a company, now offering other items such as CPU coolers, GPU coolers and case fans.

The newest addition to Gelid's product range is their first case, the DarkForce. We have one of the first samples on our test bench today and will be finding out of Gelid's newest product has what it takes to compete.

Packaging and Bundle


The DarkForce is delivered in a thick cardboard box which shows a clear image of the product on the two main sides. Key features are listed and on another side we get full product specifications. Upon opening the box we find that the case is suspended in polystyrene and wrapped in a plastic bag for extra protection.


Bundled with the DarkForce we find a selection of screws which allow us to build our system in the case, a case badge and instruction manual. Worth noting is that each bag of screws has a sticker stating what the use is so we have no need to guess the purpose of each type.
