Nokia Lumia 710 with Windows Phone 7.5 Review

I have long been a fan of Nokia (who hasn't at some point?), and in the distant pre-Smartphone past I was almost exclusively with them and other than a few adulterous flings with Samsung and a misguided drunken fumble with Motorola I was going pretty steady.

Then Smartphones came along, with their head turning touch screens and flirty Android OS. Nokia and I just kind of grew apart we stopped being interested in the same things and the spark just wasn't there anymore. I am with Samsung and their Galaxy S2 now and it's different, but in a good way. I still think about the old days with Nokia but on the whole I am happier with Samsung Galaxy S2. We are not exclusive though, I have tried a few HTC Smartphones while being with Samsung Galaxy S2 but I still keep coming back.

Recently Nokia have had somewhat of a makeover though and having received the Lumia 710 all the nostalgic memories of the good times I had with Nokia came flooding back. So I am slowing things down with Samsung Galaxy S2 and going with the Nokia Lumia 710 for a while, seeing how things work out... running on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango, who could resist?

Packaging and Bundle


The Lumia 710 is packed in a box decked out in the familiar Nokia blue colour which we associate with the brand. The top of the box has an image of the handset which wraps around the sides. Sliding off the main cover we find the handset suspended in a cardboard tray. Underneath this tray we find a small cardboard compartment which holds the product literature and an extra back cover. The other bundled items are located underneath this in three separate compartments.


Bundled with the Nokia Lumia 710 is some product documentation, earphones, USB cable, wall charger, black plastic clip on case and blue plastic clip on case.
