When looking at a high specification notebook in the desktop replacement/gaming segment the temperatures and power readings are always going to be reasonably high as our manufacturer tries to pack as much performance into the system as possible. In MSI's case we have reasonable idle temperatures and power draw which is good for a performance mobile build. At load the temperatures hit just over 80°C which is decent for the components used, though the fan is noticeable but power seems a little high, second only in the "mobile" systems we have tested to dual GPU configurations.
Now for the battery results:
There are no real surprises here with the GT683DXR able to run for just over 2hrs away from a socket in general use. The Gaming performance hits around an hour and we charge for 2hrs when on to hit 100%.
