NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 Graphics Card Launch Review
featuring Palit JetStream Edition and ZOTAC AMP! Edition
Over the last few months we have seen NVIDIA go through two hugely successful product launches with the release of their
GTX 680 and
GTX 690. The former introduced some excellent gaming performance and unique power features which impressed many and set the foundations for the best dual GPU product we have seen to date. While this was going on NVIDIAs partners were busy releasing custom, overclocked models of the GTX 680 and a number have been award winners in our recent reviews.
It is always good to have the fastest graphics card around but in reality the higher the cost the smaller the audience that can afford it. That is why it is important for NVIDIA to introduce lower priced models to the market and that is the focus of our launch today. The GTX 670 takes the features of the GTX 680 and tweaks the configuration to hit a lower price point while still being competitive. We have two custom, factory overclocked GTX 670 cards on our test bench and will be putting them up against overlocked versions of the GTX 680, GTX 570, 7970 and 7950 to find out how each enhanced model performs when paired with an i7 CPU at 5.0GHz.
