Packaging and Bundle
The Vengeance 2000 is supplied in a box which features a clear plastic viewing panel on the right hand side, allowing us to get a good look at the headset. The wireless USB dongle is also shown clearly on the front of the box.
Turning to the rear of the box we find a short description of the key features of the Vengeance 2000, presented in a number of languages. Finally on the left hand side of the packaging we find a list of the technical specifications of the headset, the microphone and the system requirements needed to use the Vengeance 2000.
The Vengeance 2000 is supplied with a quick start guide, safety leaflet and warranty guide. The headset comes with a two year warranty provided by Corsair.
Along with the documentation we have the USB wireless dongle. The Vengeance 2000 has a wireless range of up to 40 feet, or 12 meters. We found that to get the most out of this range it was best to use the 1.5m extension cable also provided with the headset.
When the USB wireless dongle is seated in the extension cable it can be placed on our desk or shelf ensuring an install that meets everyone's requirements.
Finally we have a 1.5m charging cable. This is used to initially charge the headset when we first use it. The headset takes approximately 4 hours to gain its full charge for the first time. Once fully charged the headset has a battery life of up to 10 hours. Of course we can still use the headset when the battery runs low by plugging in the charging cable.
NOTE: The micro USB port requires to be connected to a 500mA rated USB port on our PC to properly charge the headset.
