HTC One S Android Smartphone Review

HTC One S Android Smartphone Review

Last month we tested two of the current market leaders in the smartphone marketplace, Samsung's Galaxy S3 and the HTC One X. The One X sits at the top of HTCs 2012 range of phones and offers some impressive specifications (and a great user experience) but not everyone needs or wants a quad core, 32GB device with large 4.7" screen. For those users one of the options HTC has made available is the One S, a 4.3" device which tailors its specification for more value orientated consumers. We have the One S on our test bench today so let's take a look at it...

Packaging and Bundle

Our review sample of the HTC One S arrived in a plain white box however retail samples use near identical boxes to those we saw on our One X sample (shown above). It is a rounded cardboard box with a slip cover featuring the phone branding and artwork. It is a very minimalistic design and cracks open to reveal the handset, wrapped in protective plastic.

In a separate compartment below the phone we find the product documentation and our bundled extras. These consist of a USB data/charge cable, earphones with flat cabling and a charger with USB socket.
