With XMG branding in the centre this system uses a black, soft touch coating for the lid. Flipping the system over we find various vents and four rubber feet provide stability on our desk, stopping the machine from moving. Keeping things simple for the user we access the inside of the system by turning five screws and then sliding the main panel back. Our drives are accessed through a smaller panel towards the front of the system, held in place with one additional screw.
In terms of dimensions the system are WxDxH 419x286x24-49.7mm, weighing 3.9KG with battery.
At the left side of the system we find Kensington lock slot, GB LAN, 9-in-1 card reader and 3.5mm audio ports which include optical out combo connector running off the Sound Blaster X-Fi MB2 7.1 chipset. Over at the Right side we have the optical drive, USB/eSATA combo port and three USB 3.0 ports. Then round at the front we find a selection of status LEDs.
Moving round to the back we find our main exhaust vents, HDMI out, DisplayPort out, power input and an additional USB 3.0 port.
