Sony Xperia Miro Android Smartphone Review

Sony Xperia Miro ST23 Android Smartphone Review

In the last year or so Sony have been, at quite a pace, completely refreshing their smartphone image and hardware. Gone is the Ericrsson branding and two generations of high end handset have now been released, starting with the Xperia S early this year and more recently with the Bond/Skyfall phone Xperia T. We covered both and found them to be impressive handsets with Sony very much heading in the right direction.

While some consumers are happy to part with large amounts of money for their phone, there are others who don't feel that it is a prudent purchase, or maybe don't need the high end performance which commands increased cost. Therefore Sony, like other manufacturers, look to cater for entry level consumers with devices such as the Xperia Miro, packing as much of the quality, features and performance into the device as is possible for minimal cost. Today we take a look at the Xperia Miro.

Packaging and Bundle

Sony Xperia miro box

The last few Sony handsets that we have reviewed arrived in boxes quite different to the Xperia Miro which uses a chunkier box design that gives us a clear image of the handset on the front. Inside we find the phone partitioned off from the bundled items and wrapped in protective plastic.

Bundled with the phone we get a USB data/charge cable, mains charger, headphones and product documentation. A Sony headset is also included and they also provide us with a discount voucher for an enhanced version. Two other items make an appearance here, as with the more expensive models, a screen protector and cloth. Then we get a SIM card adaptor to ensure we have the appropriate size for our handset.
