Using the storage suite tests from PCMark 7 allows us to see the performance of each drive in controlled scenarios which should replicate real world use. Looking to the various result areas the Plextor does well in Virus/Spyware protection, software launching and gaming in particular. The M5 Pro's overall score of 5472 is very close to second place, just behind the Force GS/Intel 520. Samsung do have strong performance here though.
