Accessing the inside of the GX700 involves removing four thumbscrews and taking off the side panels. Inside we find that the case is constructed from 0.6mm SECC and the external paintwork is applied throughout. For cabling Antec provide the four fan headers for the controller, a Molex to power it, HD audio, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and front panel connectors.
Down at the base of the system four small feet raise our PSU off the surface and looking up towards the top of the chassis we find that Antec install two 140mm top fans and a 12cm exhaust. There are no front intake fans pre-installed at the factory.
Tool free brackets are installed on the 5.25" bays (Antec say the top bay is designed for use with card readers, additional fan controllers, etc) and beneath them we find five drive trays. These are removed after taking off the panel behind the motherboard and have tool free install for 3.5" devices with screws required for 2.5" drives.
