The software set up for the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 is a very simple process. We can download the software directly from the Mad Catz web site. Once installed it only takes a few minutes to set up the SMART software and drivers.
The SMART profile editing software allows us to control two main aspects of the keyboard, the programmable buttons and the application launcher. The programming tab allows us to either set our own commands against the buttons or we can download one of the many game packs directly from the Mad Catz web site. These profile packs cover all the most popular games from FPS to MMORPGs.
The launcher tab allows us to assign applications to one of the 12 launcher slots available on the touch screen display. The system will allow us to launch any installed application that it finds on our PC when the software is installed.
Finally we have a support tab. This tab provides us direct access to resources on the Mad Catz web site. Here we can find tips on using the S.T.R.I.K.E. 7 keyboard, download the most recent drivers/software or grab the latest game profiles.
