We start the performance section of this review with a look at some of the key system performance aspects of the XPS and the first two results, PCMark and 3DMark allow you to compare this system to your own by running the same tests.

Looking at the more specific tests memory performance is in line with other i7 dual channel systems. Hard drive performance is decent although we would have liked to see Dell install a SSD boot drive to maximise performance rather than opt for a cache solution. USB speed is great, right at the limits of what we can test but Wi-Fi would benefit from a dual channel card.
