To be clear, mixed cables are a huge bonus as those annoying components which require a single Molex in modern systems can be connected without adding in a full cable of Molex. Just use the one on the mixed cable that is already installed for SATA drives... much more tidy.
Anyway, inside the PSU we find quality branded parts and some nice little touches such as a decent amount of separators, ties and adhesive which show care was taken with the assembly. This good level of build quality is backed up by some decent performance offering stable voltages, gold level efficiency and good temperatures. As before we also very much liked the ability to run fanless up to 50% load which means many systems will have a "fanless" PSU under normal desktop conditions.
In terms of value a standard bundle mixed with 7-Year warranty is good and the high level of quality ensures the $170 price tag is not excessive. Another strong entry in the Silencer Mk.3 range.
