We start the performance section of this review with a look at some of the key system performance aspects of the new Razer Blade. In the first test, PCMark 7, we see a solid set of results which you can compare to your own system. Then looking at individual components the memory bandwidth is in line with other mobile DDR3-1600 based systems. Hard drive performance shows decent read speeds, mainly down to the caching performance of the Crucial M4 SSD but as it has a maximum write speed similar to the Hitachi drive there is a minor limitation there compared to some higher capacity models. USB performance is well in excess of the speed possible on USB 2.0 equipment (nearly 10x faster) and as an extra test we checked the Wi-Fi speed and were easily able to max out a 100MB+ home internet connection.
