Our music conversion test takes a 2CD lossless album and converts it using dBpoweramp into 128Kbps Mp3 format. dBpoweramp is a multi-threaded application which allows us to convert a track on each core/thread, at any one time.
In our media encoding tests the cache solution doesn't have any significant impact on the performance of the Blade. Looking back to the likes of our MSI GT70 review the same tests completed within a few seconds of each other which shows that the high end CPU/memory used (near identical in both systems) is more important to this performance.
