ASUSTOR AS-604T NAS Review

ASUSTOR AS-604T NAS Review

The world of network attached storage is becoming more crowded every day. Home users would once have been happy with a single bay model to allow them to store some pictures or perhaps home movies. Now with the prominence of digital media and the ease at which new content can be created or used the line between home and small business requirements is becoming more blurry.

Today on our test bench we'll be taking a look at the AS-604T NAS from Asustor. Asustor are a relatively new entrant into the home and small business digital storage business however as a division of the Taiwanese PC giant Asus they certainly have the backing to make a big splash.
The AS-604T is a four bay model, and sits right in the middle of what Asustor call the Power User/Small Medium Business range. This range goes from the 2 bay AS-602T, all the way up to the 8 bay AS-608T.

So, let's take a look at what the AS-604T can offer the home user and see if it make a worthy contender in the NAS rankings.
