Tt eSPORTS Meka G-Unit Illuminated Mechanical Keyboard Review

Thermaltake have always been a company who tried to offer products which stood out, first under their own brand and then with even more differentiation as sub brands like Luxa 2. When they then decided to enter the eSports (and gamer enthusiast) arena properly it came as no surprise that this desire to stand out continued and that's why we have seen some really interesting items like the Level 10 mouse, co designed by BMW and the Challenger keyboard which featured air cooling to keep our hands cool and dry during long, intense gaming sessions.

The Challenger keyboard was clearly interesting thanks to that built in cooling but every serious keyboard manufacturer needs mechanical key options and that's where products like the MEKA G-Unit fit into Tt eSports product catalogue. The latest addition to that is the MEKA G-Unit Illuminated and today we have one on our test bench to review.

Packaging and Bundle

The MEKA G-Unit Illuminated arrives in a long but reasonably thin box which is made of thick cardboard. We get an image of the board on the front surface along with a list of its key features and upon opening the lid we find further details on the product as well as the first bundled items in a cardboard wallet.

Bundled with this keyboard we get a wrist rest which snaps on to the board if required and a 1.8m USB cable which is braided and runs from mini-USB to standard USB (both gold plated). In the cardboard wallet we find the control panel software disc, stickers and product documentation.

Now let's take a look at the board.
