SilverStone Raven 4 Case Review - SST-RV04B-W
(Featuring TD03 cooler)
For a number of years now SilverStone have been making a selection of cases which are built to a high standard but have some rather unique twists to them. Take the Fortress FT02 that we reviewed in 2010 as an example. It was a case which offered a rotated motherboard install with the add-in cards hanging vertically rather than running horizontally. Now they have returned to the market with the fourth version of the Raven case. It completely rotates the motherboard so that our CPU is close to the base of the case and has more than a few high end features. So let's take a look at it along with one of SilverStones new liquid coolers.
Packaging and Bundle
Silverstone package the Raven 4 in a box which gives us a nice clear image of the case along with some key specification and feature information. Inside the case is suspended in polystyrene and wrapped in a protective bag to ensure it arrives in pristine condition.
Bundled with the case we get a selection of interesting items as well as the standard screws, stand-offs and cable ties. The key extra item is the large bard which we see on the top of the above image, this helps us secure the graphics cards in our system... more on that later. Of course we also get a manual with the case and SilverStone have done a decent job in creating a thorough, easy to understand document.
