Sapphire HD 3870

Sapphire have went for a more compact box than Asus, but still manage to fit all of the important information about the product inside, we also note that the “model” featured on the packaging has more than a passing resemblance to Angelina Jolie. Inside there are a number of CDs including PowerDVD 7 (multi channel) and 3dmark06. A bundled voucher also allows the consumer to download and play the Valve Black Box bundle. Connectors and extras are almost identical to the Asus card featured on the last page and therefore nothing important is omitted.

Sapphire have followed the reference design for this product, including Samsung 0.83ns memory, and other than the stickers there is nothing to differentiate the card from any other 3870. It is possible to see the two CrossFire connectors along the top edge of the card indicating that CrossFire X is to be supported in the future and at the end of the PCB is the single 6pin PCIe power connector.
