The Tiger Woods 2008 configuration options do not allow us to move above 1680x1050 resolution, but there are numerous other settings which allow us to make the game look reasonably impressive, all of which are set to their maximum level.
When looking at the result for Tiger Woods there is one thing which immediately jumps out, the difference in performance between the 3870 and 2900 XT. Up to this point the difference has been minimal but this game shows a sixteen frames per second difference between the two cards. This increase actually takes the 3870 very close to the 8800 GT level. On the GeForce side the higher clocks of the XXX card allow it to far exceed the results possible on a stock model and it is a clear winner in this test.
