Socket 775 nForce 630i / GeForce 7150

It is almost a case of Déjà vu when looking at the 630i. XFX have retained the same packaging other than the basic specifications and inside the bundle is identical other than the addition of an HDMI to DVI dongle, not a DVI to HDMI which is usually found with computer hardware.

The layout of the 630i is identical to the 610i and therefore features two PCI, one PCI-Express 16x and a single PCIe 1x. The motherboard is also capable of using four SATA 2.0 drives, two IDE and a single floppy. Power connectors are also the same with four pin and twenty-four pin connectors but the support for components is slightly different.

This motherboard officially supports 1333FSB as well as DDR2-800, though the X9650 is still not listed as a compatible CPU, despite it working without issue. External connectivity gains a COM port, additional USB header and a HDMI output on this model. Onboard graphics are also improved by using the GeForce 7150 a 90 nanometre C73 part with one ROP, two pixel shaders and a single vertex shader. It is possible to configure the board to use up to 256mb of system memory for graphics use. A 64bit bus is employed by this particular GPU and the core runs at 630MHz. Like the 7050 on the last page the 7150 is a DirectX 9.0c part but due to the use of HDMI the 630i is HDCP enabled allowing the board to fully support Blu-Ray playback with copy protection.

Like much of the rest of the motherboard we have a BIOS which is identical to the 610i right down to the voltages and speeds available. FSB (400-2500), Multiplier (5-60), memory speed (up to 1400MHz) and timings, DDR2 voltage (1.8v-2.4v) and chipset voltage (1.5v-1.7v) the result is a highly configurable board.
