Final Words and Conclusion
Overall we have been very impressed by the Radeon HD 4670, especially as the performance is impressive for the cost. For a card in this price range we were able to achieve some excellent performance regardless of the game and there are few cards out there which can provide the same price to performance ratio. Race Driver: GRID is a prime example as we were able to maintain playable framerates right up to 1920x1200, an excellent achievement on such a new game. It is also good to see that ATI have retailed features such as full high-definition video acceleration and 7.1 audio into such a reasonably priced card.
The design of the card is also very impressive as it is compact by today’s standard, even shorter than a 9500 GT, and does not require a six or eight pin power connector which make it ideal for those with older, lower rated power supplies.
For their version of the 4670 Sapphire have given it a make-over which actually looks nicer than the red ATI model, changed the display outputs to a more desirable configuration of dual DVIs and have added a cooler that whilst being a little louder than the reference model, cools much better.
Sapphire also provide a decent bundle with their card which includes all necessary cables and connectors and a free copy of Cyberlink’s PowerDVD and DVD Suite.
