Final Words and Conclusion

What we did like
Even though the Salmosa is not a perfect product, it certainly has several positive points. It is a well made mouse, very sturdy but also very lightweight at the same time. The symmetrical design makes it ideal for use by left-handed people, which is nice to see. Another great addition is the hardware based DPI resolution and Polling Rate switches, which are software independent and will work no matter the software or even the OS. The Salmosa also feels very smooth and is a good size to suit all shapes and sizes of hand.

What we did not like
While the mouse being lightweight is a good thing for many gamers, others will certainly find the Salmosa not heavy enough. This mouse is so light and glides so easily that you barely feel like you are holding anything. Once you get used to it the feeling is great and it certainly helps keep the fatigue low after many hours of constant gaming. We would also like to see a couple of side buttons or at least a usable on-the-fly DPI switch on this product as well.

Who would we recommend it to
The Razer Salmosa is the perfect unit for people who are looking for a simple mouse for playing games which don't require a high number of buttons, such as strategy games. Its miniscule weight, gliding ability and soft feeling will keep you comfortable, but many professional gamers may take issue as it could affect accuracy as well. All in all the Salmosa is also very competitively priced, so if you are looking for an entry level gaming mouse it should find its way into your shortlist.

Summing up the above, the Razer Salmosa earns our Shortlist Award.
