The electrical performance of the Corsair TX750 unit is exceedingly good. Not only is the efficiency of the product very high, staying between 82% and 86% at all times, but the voltage regulation circuit is very responsive as well. The voltage fluctuations are minimal even when the load changes are very large, which is amazing for a unit with a single 12V line.
Thermally, the Corsair TX750W will not disappoint as it can remain very cool, especially when the load is low. But the same cannot be said about the acoustic performance of this unit. It remains entirely silent up to 50-60% load, where the fan starts to spin up. At 75% load the TX750 is audible, but not loud. But while working at full load the fan will quickly spin up as it is trying to keep the unit as cool as possible, which causes it to become loud. Running a PSU at full load for prolonged periods of time is not a real world scenario, but even so the Corsair TX750 can become noisy if it has to feed a very powerful system inside a cramped case. |
