What We Did Like
The Eco 80+ 350W is a highly efficient and capable product. Even though it is designed to compete in the lowest price segment of the market, Enermax loaded it with features and made it aesthetically attractive. The proven base design and the good manufacturing quality should make the Eco 80+ one of the most popular 350W-400W units currently available.

What We Did Not Like
When designing a product for the mainstream market, companies need to keep performance as high as possible but at the minimum possible manufacturing cost. Therefore we cannot really complain about the average thermal performance or the average voltage regulation circuit of the Eco 80+, which are very good for a unit of its class. That said the asking retail price of the Eco 80+ 350W unit is substantial, so much so that it has to compete against reputable products with twice the power output.

Who Would We Recommend It To
The Enermax Eco 80+ 350W is an strong mainstream product. Its overall performance is excellent and it is one of the most efficient products in its class. It could be an excellent choice for typical home and office PCs, even for everyday gaming systems. But at time of press the asking price of the Eco 80+ is very high, so high that higher output products from Enermax themselves only cost only a little more. We would easily recommend the Eco 80+ to any user who wants a reliable and efficient PSU for a typical PC if the retail price drops or if you can find a good deal, but as long as the retail price is so high there are a great deal of capable, higher output products you can get for the same money, even from Enermax themselves.
