Our music conversion test takes a 15 track lossless album and converts it using CD-DA convertor into 128Kbps Mp3 format.
Music encoding shows a similar trend to the media encoding test with one notable exception. With this being a test which runs on a single core/thread the 700MHz advantage the 965BE has over the Core i7 920 results in the AMD CPU completing the conversion 8 seconds faster.
