    World In Conflict

Of the three major Real Time Strategy games released in the past few months (WIC, Command and Conquer and Supreme Commander) World in Conflict is the most visually impressive. The huge amount of detail on objects is quite staggering and it is possible to tweak almost every setting to suit the system being used. In this test we have aimed for some pretty lofty settings to really stress the cards and find out if it is possible to play World in Conflict on a mainstream card at 1920x1200

Unfortunately in the end all of the cards fall a little short on minimum frames per second. Overall the GT’s do almost pass the test with two drops below 25fps on the Zotac and MSI models which occurred during some large explosions. The Asus and XFX cards provide good average framerates which are well in excess of the 2900 series however all of these cards would require a reduction in resolution to achieve smooth gameplay.
