MSI NX8800 GT T2D512E- 512Mb

MSI’s packaging for the 8800 GT is reminiscent of the Lord Of the Rings Online adverts which ran in various publications. The reason for this is the inclusion of the LOTR game in the bundle. MSI do not stop there and also included is Colin McRae: DiRT, one of the better racing games released in the past year. The box notes various specifications and identifies this as an enhanced clock model which is good to know.

In terms of looks the MSI card is very similar to the others with the reference PCB and cooler. The sticker on the MSI might not look it but it is the most impressive of all the cards on test today, the finish is top drawer and adds a real sheen to the product.

It is also possible to see the yellow DVI covers in the above pictures, these signify that this is another MSI card with yellow DVI ports however the review sample does not feature these.

As noted on the packaging this is an overclocked model and MSI have gone for 660 core, 950 memory and 1650MHz shader, which while not quite as fast as the Zotac card is faster than the reference clocks.
