SiSoft Sandra Memory Bandwidth

SiSoft Sandra is an application that we use often in our benchmarks on DriverHeaven. While we aren't firm believers in purely synthetic testing, Sandra uses clever algorithms to replicate real world scenarios and is a good way of getting a baseline before going into real world testing later in the review.

Sisoft Sandra allows us to isolate individual components within our test system and measure their performance. When looking at memory specifically we can see that the ECO modules with their tight timings outperform the generic DDR3 running at the same MHz rating. Unsurprisingly the PI range offers a much higher bandwidth thanks to its faster MHz rating, backed up by overclocked CPU.
