Sharkoon SATA QuickPort USB3.0

The QuickPort USB3.0 is supplied in almost identical packaging to the QuickPort Pro. Inside the box however we find fewer accessories; this model has only USB3.0 connectivity so there are no other cables supplied (note: USB3.0 is backwards compatible with USB2.0). Sharkoon also supplied us with a USB3.0 Host Controller card to test with the QuickPort USB3.0. This is also supplied in a small cardboard box with a driver CD.




The QuickPort USB3.0 is almost identical to the QuickPort Pro LAN in design however it doesn't have a built-in USB hub or multimedia card reader. The USB3.0 functionality of the unit promises to improve file transfer speeds by about 10 times over USB2.0.
