I choose to install my hard drives in the lower cage;
here you see how the hard drives rest on the silicon cushions.
When the hard drives were installed I
just slid the cage back in the lower compartment.
In order to install the power supply
unit you have to remove a steel frame by removing four
screws two on each side, and then you have to put the
steel frame onto the power supply unit.
As you can see in the picture below, using the OCZ Powerstream
520w was a pretty tight fit. I had to struggle to get
the unit in place, so if you have a longer model of PSU
you will be in for a bit of struggle to make it fit. And
I can imagine if you use a power supply unit with shorter
cables you might run into some problems with cable length.
The Powerstream has long cables so it wasn’t a problem,
but I know that some power supply units have kind of short
cables and they would run in to problems with this particular
case.
Installing the rest of the system was really straight
forward, the motherboard fitted like a glove onto the
standoffs and the DVD burner was installed in the usual
Antec way; by using the supplied drive rails.
The system fully assembled with and without the vga duct
installed.
Finally, the fruit of our labours, the final case up
and running.
