Installation
The installation of the hardware was extremely painless, no problems with bits and pieces not fitting. The wiring went well for a none-modular or sleeved PSU; it does not look too bad for a mere 10 minutes of setting up.
The VFDBefore powering up the system we installed the front LCD display, the power cable was connected and the USB cable which can be connected through an outside standard USB connection or on an internal one. There is an adaptor for the internal one as can be seen in these pictures.
When the system was powered only the back light of the display lit up with no information, in order to get it to work software has to be installed. The software and driver that was supplied on the CD had some issues and wouldn’t work very well with Windows Vista, but a quick visit to Antec’s support page downloading updated software fixed that issue.
The software for the display allows for an abundance of display info, you can have it show RSS news feeds, what file you’re watching or listening to as well as pertinent system information.
