The packaging of the P6-470W is well thought out.
The unit comes well packed inside a tough cardboard
box, which itself is wrapped in plastic. The box
provides more than enough protection and the plastic
wrap can alarm the buyer on whether the packaging
was ever opened by another person. By opening the
box, you will find the unit wrapped in a bubble
bag, to protect it from minor scratches and other
annoyances caused during shipping. Inside the package
there is a manual written in 4 languages, an A/C
power cable, 5 cable management wraps, a few cable
ties, 4 basic screws and a 24-pin to 20-pin ATX
adaptor for those using older motherboards. A considerable
bundle for a power supply unit.

The unit itself is carefully designed in order to
be aesthetically appealing. The chassis of the unit
is painted with a black paint which also creates
a mirror finish and the fan grills are golden. At
the rear of the unit, there is only a simple on/off
switch. No voltage adjustment switch, since this
unit is not switching and can only work with 200-240V
AC voltage unfortunately. At the rear and right
side of the unit, there are ventilation holes for
air to enter the unit, although I believe most of
the air intake will be from the fan at the bottom
of the unit. The left side is covered by the sticker
which names all of the unit’s specifications
in detail. Finally, it is nice to see the warranty
label attached on a good spot, over one of the screws
which are necessary to be removed if you need to
open the unit.
