Its voltage regulation is extremely tight on all lines, which combined with the very high power output of the unit becomes a combination that enthusiasts will love. Furthermore it is one of the most efficient AC-DC units we have ever tested which not only has it running extremely cool but also with a minimum of noise.
The DarkPower Pro 1kW unit offers a good combined 3,3V/5V line and six 12V lines which are individually strong enough to make sure that none of them will get overloaded. Each PCIe connector is powered by a different 12V line and even the most power greedy video cards will not consume more than 11A each, each line in this supply is rated for 20A output! This certainly makes the unit future-proof enough for the hardcore enthusiasts who upgrade often.
Aesthetically it should please many as it is supplied with a wonderful deep paint job, and its modular design will keep your system looking neat and tidy. The only downside of the DarkPower Pro 1kW unit is again the price. It is one of the best performing units we have tested on DriverHeaven without question, but it is also one of the most expensive.
