Introduction:
Keeping
our systems cool under heavy demand is one of
the top priorities for PC gamers and Overclockers.
Overheating of any of the components can spell
serious trouble – not only for the games
– but also for the entire system if the
heating causes permanent damage. For that reason,
every little bit helps when it comes to keeping
our systems cool. CoolIT Systems, Inc. specializes
in providing the tools for the purpose of doing
just that.
After
searching the CoolIT Systems website for an “About
Us” to no avail, I finally clicked the link
for “Contact Us” and there discovered
some more information about the company. Here’s
a snippet:
“For
years, CoolIT has been working with leaders in
the computer industry to research, design, and
provide an affordable new cooling product that
provides a comprehensive solution for end users
while exceeding high OEM standards. This carefully
designed and patented technology unleashes the
full potential of a PC, providing superior cooling
performance while reducing system level noise
and improving reliability of vital components.
This small, but potent, pre-assembled product
can be easily installed inside any standard chassis.
Aside
from the current product offering, there are several
additional products poised for release in the
coming months to service the demanding cooling
requirements of high performance video cards,
multi-processor computers, and servers.”
Among
the several items designed and manufactured by
CoolIT Systems, Inc. is a small device called
a RAM Fan. It’s main function is to provide
“direct air flow to cool RAM and motherboard
components.”
I
received the CoolIT RAM Fan for review a short
while ago and became quite interested in whether
or not it could actually provide a significant
cooling improvement.
