Hardware

The Freezone is well-packaged, with the cooling unit coming out of the box already plumbed to the CPU block. The block itself has thermal compound pre-applied, which is well protected by a plastic half-shell.

Also in the package is a very nice looking manual, and CPU block mounting hardware for each CPU and socket type supported by the unit. The PCB shown here contains the circuitry which is responsible for monitoring temperatures as well as controlling the TEC and exhaust fan.
