Final words and Conclusion

Corsair has certainly added yet another great PSU to their product range with the TX650W. They have ended up with a simple design and have selected high quality parts, creating a simple PSU with extremely good electrical performance and outstanding efficiency.

Aesthetically it is simple and subtle but it wouldn’t look out of place in any computer case; as long as you don’t mind the rather gaudy yellow stickers. The only negative aspect of the TX650W is the acoustic performance since it becomes audible at 50% load and noisy quickly after that, it would be safe to say if you are building a PC with minimum noise levels in mind, then look elsewhere. Objectively speaking, such loads are really only forced from very high end systems powering Crossfire or SLI. Just as importantly, the power supply is competitively priced and is extremely good value for money.

Taking everything into consideration, that being the great value for money combined with the performance and excellent efficiency this unit easily earns our editors choice award.
