CyberSnipa Game Pad V2

The second revision of the very successful CyberSnipa Ultimate Game Pad comes in a simple clear plastic packaging. The artwork of the package is good and is going to provide enough protection during transportation. At the rear you will find a long list with some of the FPS games which the Game Pad V2 supports. Some of the features of the Game Pad V2 are mentioned at the front of the package.

  • LED under-lighting
  • 37 mappable keys
  • Plug and play - no drivers needed
  • "Butterfly" directional keys
  • Connection: USB

Theoretically, the Game Pad V2 is nothing more than a special layout of half a keyboard. All of the keys of the Game Pad V2 are linked to normal keyboard keys and so it doesn’t need any kind of special software to work. You only have to plug it to an USB port and it will work instantly, much like a normal USB keyboard. The palmrest of the Game Pad V2 is a bit hard and it might prove not to be very comfortable for prolonged periods of gaming, however it is detachable as well.

What CyberSnipa have done is to take the keys which are most commonly used in FPS games and then change their layout. The main movement keys (QWEASD) are at the center of the gamepad, while the rest of the keys are spaced apart for comfortable and accurate strokes. The rubber/silicone keys of the Game Pad V2 are exceptionally comfortable and won’t tire your fingers while they have a very quick response rate, making them ideal for gaming.

Although the layout of the Game Pad V2 is different from that of a normal keyboard, one will find out that it doesn’t take more than a few minutes for fingers to get used to it and the result pays off. Speed will improve, dramatically if you weren’t a hardcore gamer before using the gamepad. The blue LED at the eye of the crosshair at the top of the Game Pad V2 stays on as long as it is plugged in.

Was that bling factor not enough for you? CyberSnipa added two strong blue LED lights at the sides of the Game Pad V2. They are very strong but hidden from direct eye contact so they won’t cause eye strain. The LED lights can be switched on and off by a small push button switch at the right side of the gamepad.
