Installation:
Fitting
the motherboard onto the motherboard tray presented
no issues at all, everything fitted perfectly.
No misaligned holes. A good start.

The Dragon
case uses a tool free construction for the expansion
card slots. You have to lift a plastic bracket
up and insert the card.

For this
review a PowerColor X850XT was used, and the X850XT
has the dual slot cooler. But this card didn’t
like the tool free solution of the dragon one
bit; it simply wasn’t possible securing
the card with it.

This picture
show why it wasn’t possible to use the “tool
free” solution, the plastic bracket that
supposed to lock the X850 in place either was
misaligned to the PCI slots or to the motherboard
plate itself. I tried releasing the screws on
the motherboard and “jiggle” it in
place but to no avail.

Luckily
the plastic locking device was removable and I
could just fasten the card the old fashion way,
with screws.

Here’s
the motherboard tray with everything installed
and ready to move into the case.

To install
the 5.25” and 3.5” the Dragon also
has a tool free solution; they have supplied a
bunch of “knobs” used to secure the
devices inside the case.

Just align
the device in the cage, and attach the knob and
turn it. One for each side of the cage. This solution
was entirely trouble free and worked just as it
should.

When using
the A64 Freezer as we did in this review, it wasn’t
possible to use the fan duct for the CPU due to
the tall height of the Freezer. So we simply removed
the duct and put in an 80mm blue led fan directly
on the side door.
