We’ve been using Aquamark 3 in our graphics card reviews for a while now, what we haven’t used in those reviews is the CPU score and so here we have a breakdown of two things. Firstly how well both processors score in the CPU test and secondly how the processors score overall.

 

 

In Aquamark the CPU scores are much closer than expected with the clock speed change from FX-51 – FX-53. The performance difference here was only 5%. Looking at the triscore we see that the scores are even closer. Such close results are caused by the graphics card used in the test, a 5900XT. Later on in the review we shall see the performance achievable with the FX-53 when coupled with a faster graphics card. Despite the limitation of the graphics card the scores achieved are very respectable, comparable to those of a Athlon64/Radeon 9700 Pro setup.
