Colin Mcrae Rally 04 uses a completely different engine to our other game tests and so provides an interesting comparison of how a faster CPU can make a difference in racing games.

 

Like Max Payne 2 there is a small difference in performance moving from the FX-51 to FX-53 when playing Colin McRae Rally 4. The difference however is less noticeable as a minimum fps score of over 30fps should provide silky smooth gameplay.
